Engine and gearbox movement is essential to the functioning of your Fiesta but worn or excessive play in this mount can lead to really bad torque-steer under load and driveline shunt when changing gear.
Our own Fiesta came fitted with a popular aftermarket polyurethane version fitted to it (no names mentioned) and our car had a very strange feeling clutch pedal, quite a lot of noise, vibration and harshness coming from the transmission and a very sharp bite point to the clutch.
We replaced it with this high-quality rubber version from Febest and we cannot honestly convey how much better it is. It feels like it has a brand-new clutch and the gearshift is so much nicer. Not all "upgrades" are good ones.
Our mantra is to either choose a good polyurethane like SuperPro or fit a good quality rubber replacement. SuperPro do not offer an upgraded torque mount for these vehicles because, after much R&D, they found that you can't improve upon the original part without introducing problems...a fact proven on our own car.
This Febest mount is low on price but big on improvement.
